Submissions are open!

Calendar

Subscriptions will be opened on Saturday, March 15th, 2024 and close on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Paris time. Judging will take place from October 11th  to October 13th, 2024.

Sections

The competition is in digital images and includes 5 sections :

“Open monochrome”
monochrome only

All techniques are allowed. Creativity is allowed in this category. The images must be monochrome, and correspond to the PSA and FIAP : See definition of “Open” Monochrome photography (section 13.1) in the Salon Rules

“Backlighting”
monochrome only

For the submitted images, the light source must be behind the person, object or whatever is the subject of the photograph.  In other words, the light (whether natural or artificial)  is opposite the photographer and the subject is lit up from behind.  Play around with light, shadow, contrast.

This section is a Monochrome section and COLOR IMAGES are NOT allowed in that section.

“Open color”
color only – monochrome not allowed

All techniques are allowed. Creativity is allowed in this category.

An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are NOT allowed in that section. See definition of “Open Color” section in the Salon Rules

“Rainy days”
color only – monochrome not allowed

Bring out your raincoats and umbrellas!  We will be looking for images of falling rain, from a few drops to a real downpour, as well as the traces left by rain on streets, cars, plants, etc. Subjects may include drenched passers-by, children playing in a puddle, raindrops on windows revealing a barely visible landscape or streetscape beyond.  The possibilities are endless, and may involve everything from the use of wide angle lenses to macrophotography.

An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are NOT allowed in that section.

Sign Language
color only – monochrome not allowed

On the ground, walls, or on signboards; in streets, stations, subways, shopping centers, museums, hospitals … signs are all around us.  They show us the way, tempt us, forbid us….  Make use of the graphic nature of signage with its repetitions, its contradictions, or its connection to the surrounding environment. Obviously signs must be a key element in your composition.

An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are NOT allowed in that section.

Exhibition requirements

Requirements

This Exhibition is open to anyone; however, an entry may be rejected when the Sponsor or the Exhibition Organizers, in their reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to exhibition rules and these Conditions of Entry. Membership in any photographic organization is not required.

Sanctions

Entries will not be accepted from any entrant who is currently sanctioned by PSA.

PSA Star Ratings

To receive proper Star ratings credit from PSA, entrants must provide their names and country exactly the same in each exhibition. Aliases are not permitted. Please contact PSA in the event of name changes or relocating to another country. Using one’s name differently in different exhibition exposes the entrant to the risk that many of their acceptances may not be recognized by PSA Star Ratings

Image Creation

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion or acquired digitally. .

Certification

By virtue of submitting an image, the entrant certifies the work as his or her own (.Images may not incorporate elements produced by anyone else (for example: clip art, images or art by others downloaded from the Internet). Aliases are not allowed. The entrant permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition. This may include low resolution posting on a website.  Note: Entrants who indicate that their images may not be reproduced or used “will not be eligible for awards” or inclusion in audio-visuals of the exhibition “and could be subject to disqualification” by the exhibition sponsors. The exhibition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright

Alteration and Computer Generation

Subject to Divisional restrictions (particularly Nature, Photo Travel, and Photojournalism) images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker. Adjustments to enhance images or creatively modify images are allowed providing the underlying photograph is retained in a way that is obvious to the viewer.  Images may not be constructed entirely with a computer, and must be the sole work of the author

Re-use of accepted images

Once an image has been accepted in this exhibition it may not be entered again in any future instances of this exhibition.  It may, of course, be entered in any other PSA/FIAP recognised exhibitions but must always have the same title.

Entry

An Entry consists of, up to and including, four (4) images entered by a single entrant into the same Section. An entrant may only enter a specific Section once.

Titles

Each image must have a unique title that is a description of the image. That unique title must be used for entry of that image or of an identical Image  into any and all PSA-Recognized exhibitions. Titles must be 35 characters or fewer. No titles may be visible to the judges, and nothing in the image may identify the maker. Titles may not include file extensions such as .jpg or .jpeg (or any other camera capture filenames such as IMG 471). Titles may not consist of personal identifiers possibly augmented by a number; or include words such as “untitled” or “no title”. Titles may not consist solely of numbers unless those numbers are prominently contained within the image, such as a contestant number in a race.

Color and Monochrome

Color and Monochrome images from the same capture that share substantial pictorial content in common will be considered the same image and must be given the same title.

Sending images

The registration and the transfer of images have to be made on the website: www.salondaguerre.paris

Images will be uploaded in JPEG format on the Salon Daguerre website, using the indicated procedure.

Image size must not exceed 1920 pixels in width and 1080 pixels in height.

Portrait orientation images should be no larger than 1080 pixels.

No title or participant identification should be visible on the image.

The Exhibition will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the PSA and FIAP

An image may be entered in only one section.

Judging method

Judging will take place at Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre, 28 ter, rue Gassendi, 75014 Paris-France. All judges will take place in the same area in order to view images altogether.

The digital images will be displayed on a 4K Panasonic TX-55GZ1000 screen which will be color calibrated.

The projection equipment will display the images at exactly 100% of their resolution (that is, that the images will not be enlarged beyond their native resolution).

Accepting images: The jury selects the accepted images and its decisions are final. Targeted acceptance ratio will be between 20% and 25%, to comply with FIAP acceptance ratio.

Data protection

By entering this exhibition, you are explicitly consenting to the personal details you have supplied, including email addresses, being held, processed and used by the exhibition organizers for purposes associated with this exhibition. You also explicitly consent to such information being sent to organizations that have accorded official recognition, patronage or accreditation to this exhibition. You acknowledge and accept that entering this exhibition means that the status and results of your entry may be made public.

Unless the participant expressly indicates otherwise, the organizers reserve the right to reproduce, in the interest of this event, the photos, indicating the name of the author.

As such, the reproductions of the photographs can be used in various communication tools of the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre (website, show site, Facebook, Instagram, publications as well as for the show catalog) without commercial use.

The organizers cannot, under any circumstances, be held responsible for any disputes and disputes.

Definitions of sections

All submissions must conform to the following definitions to be accepted and validated by all International Organizations granting recognition or patronage.

SUBJECT MATTER AND SECTION DEFINITIONS

Statement on Subject Matter applicable to all sections

The fundamental rule that must be observed at all times and applies to all sections offered in exhibitions with FIAP patronage or PSA recognition is that the welfare of living creatures is more important than any photograph. This means that practices such as baiting of subjects with a living creature and removal of birds from nests, for the purpose of obtaining a photograph, are highly unethical, and such photographs are not allowed in any exhibition with FIAP patronage or PSA recognition.  Under no circumstances may a living creature be placed in a situation where it will be killed, injured or stressed for the purpose of obtaining a photograph. This rule applies regardless of whether or not the creature being killed, injured or stressed is visible in the captured image.

There are also concerns about the use of aerial photography, drones, helicopters, low flying aircraft. These should not cause any interference with other individuals or animals which causes a disturbance in their normal activity or disrupt the way any  individuals or animals interact with their environment.

Entry in this exhibition is conditional on accepting these policies.  The content of images must comply with these General Conditions and with the Division and Section definitions listed in these conditions. Images that – in the sole opinion of the judges or the Exhibition Organizers – do not comply, will be disqualified so the entrant may be aware of the problem when considering entry into other exhibitions with FIAP patronage/PSA recognition.

Further details on the PSA’s drone policy may be found at https://psa-photo.org/index.php?psa-policies#drone

Section “Open Monochrome” PID-MONO

All techniques are allowed. Creativity is allowed in this category. The images must be monochrome, and correspond to the PSA and FIAP definitions below:

DEFINITION OF MONOCHROME IMAGE (PSA):

An image is considered to be Monochrome only if it gives the impression of having no color (i.e. contains only shades of gray which can include pure black and pure white) OR it gives the impression of being a greyscale image that has been toned in one color across the entire image. (For example, by Sepia, red, gold, etc.)

A greyscale or multi-colored image modified or giving the impression of having been modified by partial toning, multi-toning or by the inclusion of spot coloring does not meet the definition of monochrome and shall be classified as a Color Work.

DEFINITION OF MONOCHROME IMAGE (FIAP):

A black and white work fitting from the very dark grey (black) to the very clear grey (white) is a monochrome work with the various shades of grey.

A black and white work toned entirely in a single color will remain a monochrome work able to stand in the black and white category; such a work can be reproduced in black and white in the catalogue of a salon under the FIAP Patronage.

On the other hand, a black and white work modified by a partial toning or by the addition of one color becomes a color work (polychrome) to stand in the color category; such a work requires color reproduction in the catalogue of a salon under FIAP patronage.

Section “Negative space” PID-MONO

This section is a Monochrome section. Thus, submitted images must respect the definitions of the paragraphs “DEFINITION OF MONOCHROME IMAGE (PSA)” and “DEFINITION OF MONOCHROME IMAGE (FIAP) here above.

Additionally, for the pictures submitted in that section, the “Negative space”…. may be used to highlight the subject of the photo, to give it more importance and use the (non)surroundings to bring out the focus of your attention, to express your artistic choice or style.
Photographs in this category must have room to breathe !

Section “Open Color” PID-COLOR:

All techniques are allowed. Creativity is allowed in this category.
An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are not allowed in that section.

Section “Fast forward” PID-COLOR:

We live in an age of speed: fast food, rapid transit, broken speed records in sport  Speed, movement and energy are our subject matter in this category.
Movement may be frozen in time, or not. You may show the contrast between blur and sharpness, use the technique of motion blur or any other means of expressing the force and speed of dynamic action.

An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are not allowed in that section.

Section “Café society” PID-COLOR:

Cafés are a living space, a workspace, a place for meeting people, for relaxing, or even a place of refuge.  They are a part of daily life in many cultures.
There you may find all sorts of people : young, old, partygoers, groups of friends or people sitting alone, customers and staff.  In a café we take our time, appreciate the décor, observe the people… Photos may be taken inside or outside of cafés.

An important remark is that MONOCHROME IMAGES are not allowed in that section.

The Exhibition will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the PSA and FIAP.
The aforementioned conditions and the following conditions (PSA and FIAP) are to be respected to claim to participate in the 15th Salon Daguerre.

Breaches of Rules

FIAP: The mention that by the sole act of submitting his/her images or files to a salon under FIAP Patronage, the entrant accepts without exception and with no objection the following terms: – that the submitted images can be investigated by FIAP to establish if these obey to FIAP regulations and definitions even if the entrant is not a member of FIAP, – that FIAP will use any means at its disposal for this undertaking, – that any refusal to cooperate with FIAP or any refusal to submit the original files as captured by the camera, or failure to provide sufficient evidence, will be sanctioned by FIAP, – that in case of sanctions following the non compliance with FIAP regulations, the name of the entrant will be released in any form useful to inform the breaches of the rules. It is recommended to leave the EXIF data in the submitted files intact in order to ease eventual investigations. If, at any time, it is determined in the reasonable discretion of the exhibition organizer or the judges before, during, or after the judging of an exhibition that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images may fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition organizers reserve the right to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards in connection with the exhibition. Fees may be forfeited or refunded in these circumstances.
The entrant acknowledges that the decision of the exhibition organizers or the judges is final.

PSA: If, at any time, it is determined in the reasonable discretion of the exhibition organizer or the judges before, during, or after the judging of an exhibition that an entrant has submitted entries where one or more images may fail to comply with these Conditions of Entry, including the stated definitions, the exhibition organizers reserve the right to delete the entry from the exhibition and void any or all acceptances or awards in connection with the exhibition. Fees may be forfeited or refunded in these circumstances. The entrant acknowledges that the decision of the exhibition organizers or the judges is final

In order to ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry and definitions, the exhibition organizers may carry out reasonable measures to verify that:

  • the images are the original work of the entrant and
  • the images comply with the rules and definitions as set out in these Conditions of Entry

These steps include, but are not limited to, questioning any entrant, requiring the submission of RAW files or other digital files representing the original capture of the submitted image(s), confronting the entrant with evidence that one or more submitted images fails to comply with the Conditions of Entry (also known as Entry Rules), and offering the entrant a reasonable opportunity to provide counter evidence to refute the exhibition organizer’s evidence by a set deadline. Such entries that are not cleared or are still questionable after the entrant has presented evidence may be considered in breach of these Conditions of Entry, and declined. Such entries may be referred to PSA for further investigation of possible ethics violations.

PSA retains the right to investigate in any way all complaints/suspicions of breaches of entry conditions, impose sanctions if deemed necessary, void the acceptances of any image found to violate the PSA rules, include the entrant’s name on the list of sanctions provided to Exhibitions, and share such investigations with FIAP. Entrants automatically agree to these terms by the act of entering the Exhibition and agree to cooperate with any investigation.

If another party is submitting images on the entrant’s behalf, the entrant will still be held responsible for adhering to these Conditions of Entry (Entry Rules) and will be subject to sanction for any violations to these Conditions of Entry and PSA’s Statement of Ethics that may result. If another party is processing images for an entrant or submitting images on the entrant’s behalf, the entrant will still be held responsible for adhering to all Conditions of Entry including the specific conditions in the relevant definitions.

FIAP NOTICE: In order to have legal authority on those who do not respect the rules of FIAP, the organiser must make sure that all participants of an online event under FIAP Patronage tick a box next to which the following text is stated:

“I hereby expressly agree to FIAP document 018/2017 « Conditions and regulations for FIAP Patronage » and FIAP document 017/2017 « Sanctions for breaching FIAP regulations and the red list ». I am particularly aware of chapter II « Regulations for International photographic events under FIAP patronage » of FIAP document 018/2017, dealing under Section II.2 and II.3 with the FIAP participation rules, the sanctions for breaching FIAP regulations and the red list.

FIAP documents 018/2017 and 017/2017 must be linked to this paragraph so that participants can consult it.

PSA NOTICE: When an entrant fills in the Entry Form to submit an entry the entrant will see a feature to affirm he or she has read these Conditions of Entry when he or she fills out the entry form.  If the entrant does not so affirm the entry will not be submitted

This image creator, who is primarily dedicated to transmitting emotions with black and white work, appreciates above all ambitious projects. His previous theme put women at the center of social, political, human relations… News shows the relevance of her sensitivity and his points of view.

“New Humans” is also one of his audacious, even perilous photographic adventures: describing the desires, expectations and uncertainties of the personalities of the world today. This, by taking provocative positions, at the risk of destabilizing. An attitude which clearly shows the attention he pays to his predecessors: let us quote Helmut Newton, David Lachapelle or Bettina Rheims.

His project fully declined from its different angles, he brings together the partners who will allow him to build the worlds he stages. Passionate about the studio, he develops his characters with actors, make-up artists, etc …

This teamwork is a central element of his research and a foundation of his talent. Author above all, this environment allows to fuel his creativity, to validate and develop his concepts, to refine his vision. For his part, he reserves the lighting, the pose, the shooting, the image processing and the staging.

This method is paying off. In addition to the hanging on the rails and the comments of the critics, in July 2020, the magazine Photo publishes it for the creation of a photo taken from a personal work; this monthly magazine thus recognizes him for the second time among the first 100 photographers of the selection of the year.

His exhibitions have been reported by Normal Magazine. Since then, Vogue Italy and the Swedish site 1x have published its production.

For this connoisseur of the performing arts – cinema, theater – photography turns out to be the synthesis of the means of expression. It allows him to conceive a strong message, to explore its variations, to bring together energies, to produce his emotional vectors in large formats, then to reach large audiences. Mechanics at the service of a glance.

Today, Gautier Van Lieshout focuses his research on the field of health. In 2019, he participated in a group exhibition, “Pour Line”, a project that highlights a woman with breast cancer. Following this, the Merck Health France group entrusted him in 2020 with a campaign called “Multiple Sclerosis and Maternity”, a project that he will lead with 11 young mothers who are struggling with their disease.

I started taking pictures in 1990, after taking an image education course in high school; almost immediately, I discover the darkroom where I develop and print my black and white photos.

In 1991, I joined the FIAF (Italian Federation of Photographic Associations), FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art), in 1994, PSA (Photographic Society of America), in 1997 at ISF (Image Sans Frontières) and in 1999 at the Image Photoclub in Rome. Since 1993, I regularly participate in photographic competitions both in Italy, France and abroad with good results, 1500 acceptances and 200 awards and nominations.

  • APSA (active member of P.S.A.) in 1996
  • Youth sector manager I.S.F. 1998-2001
  • A.F.I. (Italian Photography Artist) in 2000
  • AFIAP (Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art) in 2012
  • EFIAP (Excellence of the International Federation of Photographic Art) in 2014
  • EFIAP / b (Excellence of the International Federation of Photographic Art level
  • Bronze) in 2017
  • EFIAP / s (Excellence of the International Federation of Photographic Art level
  • Silver) in 2019
  • AFPF and EFPF (Artist and Excellence of the FPF) in 2020
  • EFIAP / g (Excellence of the International Federation of Photographic Art Gold level) in 2020
  • FPF Ambassador in 2021

In the early years of amateur photography, I devoted myself to landscape photography and reportage, until I discovered a passion for portraiture and artistic nude.

One of my photos was selected for the production of the 1996 FIAF calendar.

My work has been published by the most important Italian and French photo magazines (Fotografia Reflex, Fotografare, Tutti Fotografi, Progresso Fotografico, Chasseur images, Réponses photo) and in several books published by the FIAF.

In 1997, I joined the “Who’s Who in photography PSA” and some of my photographs are part of the historical archives of the FIAF, I.S.F, FPF and private.

I have, to my credit, about fifty solo exhibitions and about a hundred group exhibitions. From 2001 to 2006, I participated in the PSA “European Portfolio” and in 2003 I was invited to present these photos in France at the “Salon 24 d’Eté” in Le Lonzac (Corrèze) as a guest of honor. In 2009, I exhibited my photos again at the “Gayant International Photography Meetings” in Douai, always as a guest of honor.

In 2010 with friends I founded the photo club Fotoamatori Sangro Aventino in Italy where I was president until May 2014; very quickly the club becomes one of the most important in Italy, we organize national and international fairs.

In June 2014, I started a new adventure in my life by moving to Meurthe et Moselle.

I immediately joined the SNCF Yutz Thionville club and the FPF; in 2016 I joined the prestigious GEPHO group (European Group of PHOTOgraphes).

I am an urban photographer. If my universe is urban, it is because it is essentially human. The relationship between man and his universe, the source of exile and of crushing, touches me particularly.

I wonder about the world we have built for ourselves and do not always find it to suit us.

I don’t believe in photographic objectivity. The truth that I am trying to approach is certainly not that of the world but much more modestly mine. My images have been called interior landscapes and this is probably my favorite definition of my work.

Each image has no other purpose than to try to convey, to bring before my eyes an emotion, a thought, an inner feeling. The only truth I am looking for is correctness in relation to me. Not cheating with what you are is already an adventure more than difficult and which, curiously, allows you to meet others. My near and far Paris would be timeless.

I have always been a photographer but I have exhibited since 2008.

Submission deadline extended to May 30th

The uncertain health context and the lockdown in France, lasting until the beginning of May have led us to postpone the Salon Daguerre calendar by a few weeks.
We intend to keep the principle of a collective judgment at the Club, it will take place on June 11 and 12, photo submissions are possible until May 30 included.

Another change should be noted, Luis Leandro Serrano will unfortunately not be able to fulfill his mission as judge. He will be replaced by Hervé Wagner (EFIAP) who was our deputy judge.

As you know, in addition to the usual “open color” and “open monochrome” categories, three stimulating themes are available for you to explore your photo libraries:
_”Summer time“,
_”Home sweet home“,
_”Minimalism “.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the best author and the best woman photographer (250 euros for each) as well as the best club (400 euros). Numerous FIAP, PSA and FPF medals are also planned.

To your submissions !

The Judges 2021

Marc Trigalou

Marc Trigalou

I’m 69 years old, practicing photography since I was 17, when my brother introduced me to the magic of the darkroom. This passion has never left me since that time.

I am a member and former President of the Photo Image Club Aulnaysien that I have been frequenting faithfully since 1973, and with which I participate in federal competitions. I have participated for years in many international exhibitions honoring the unique image, but from a recent time, I prefer to concentrate my efforts on the creation of files or series that allow me to present in-depth work.

In photography, I practice all kinds of subjects. For example, I like to remain contemplative, waiting for the good light, alone in the early morning, to immortalize a landscape spotted the day before.

But I take maximum pleasure in reporting, in particular of festivals, religious events or not, wherever it happens: at the end of the world or close to my home. The crowd, even if it sometimes scares me, (we are less nimble with age) intoxicates me and exalts my passions.

Eric Forey

Portrait Eric Forey
Eric Forey

Eric Forey began to photograph a the age of 12 and has neverstopped since. He went professional in 2010 because he wasreceiving large numbers of commissions, requests for sponsorships and sales.  He gives classes to individuals, corporations and Government agencies on basic technique, composition, photographing architecture, urban photography, series…  He has given lectures on architectural and urban photography to photo clubs, corporations and architecture students in Paris, Geneva, Namur and Lyon.

He has published three books for the general public: Photographing Cities (published by Pearson, 2012), Serial Photographer (Pearson, 2014) and Urban Photography (Knoware, 2015).

He holds shows regularly throughout France (Bordeaux, Toulouse, Paris, Dax, Perpignan, Cholet, Lyon …).  He has won a number of prestigious awards such as Photos of the Year in the architecture category and the Ilford Award for black and white photography.  His work is often published in the international press.

His method is to search for shape, to seek out colour, to noticewhat no one else sees.  He will move forward, move back, turn around in order to discover beauty where it is least expected.  He looks up, he slows down, he bends over, he squats, he drinks in the city.  He waits for the light, he takes the time to seek out harmony where it is hidden.  He learns to experience the city differently, to tingle with excitement in front of a façade or the siding on a building, to be moved by a wall.  He lives and breathes the city, the entire city.  He reinvents the urban context until it becomes a world.

Hervé Wagner

Due to a personal constraint, Luis Leandro Serrano will not be able to attend to the judgment of the contest this year. Hervé Wagner, EFIAP, will replace him to judge the Salon Daguerre 2021.

I have been « pressing the shutter button » for a very long time, but I have been really shooting pictures for the last 23 years. Then, I have been starting very quickly to animate a small association that I had co-founded. I also very quickly started to organize photo outings, which were not so common by the end of the last century.
I have been a member of Club Paris Val de Bièvre for the last 20 years. There I have learned a lot and I quickly got involved in it, whether in terms of photographic or administrative activities.
What I love about photography is that this activity is eye-opening. Indeed we look much more at what surrounds us, we are more attentive to the details of things, of situations or of people that we meet. I also like the feeling of being on the lookout for the right situation, of feeling that in a given situation something interesting is going to happen and of pulling the trigger at the right time. Then from the basic negative (or from the file now) interpreting, optimizing the impact, rendering and printing of the photo is also an interesting and fulfilling activity. And of course I really appreciate the human relations that all of this gives rise to, including the animation of photographic activities.

I have got the EFIAP distinction for many year, and i currently have 255 images which were accepted in many contests. As well, i regularly exhibit my photos in Paris and in Japan.

Luis Leandro Serrano

Due to a personal constraint, Luis Leandro Serrano will not be able to attend to the judgment of the contest this year. Hervé Wagner, EFIAP, will replace him to judge the Salon Daguerre 2021.

Luis Leandro Serrano

My first steps began in 1968, with a compact camera and a small laboratory, then I went on to use a reflex camera and expanded the laboratory.

These years of analog photography have served as a basis for me, of everything I have learned afterwards.

In 2004 I started using the DIGITAL system in which I am immersed.

Both on an analog and digital level, I have been quite successful, with a considerable number of national and international trophies (more than 700 altogether). I have made individual and group exhibitions in different cities of the Spanish State, and some other collective in various European cities.

Distinctions: MFCF5 * and MCEF

Brigitte Monjaux

Due to a personal constraint, Brigitte Monjaux will not be able to attend to the judgment of the contest this year. Marc Trigalou will replace her to judge the Salon Daguerre 2021.

Photography is a means of expression.  By stopping a movement, capturing an atmosphere, seizing a moment that moves us, we divulge a part of ourselves.

The tools we have at our disposal enable us to reveal the instants we have captured while revealing our own artistic vision.

My photographic style is inspired by pictorialism, I seek a form of esthetic which emphasizes my sensitivity and my individual perception, I use the digital techniques available in order to give life to my photographs and transform reality using my imagination.

A photo may be well framed, correctly exposed, and still leave the viewer totally indifferent, whereas an imperfect image may deliver a message, surprise or move the viewer, in which case it will be a much better photo.

A fine image is geometry modulated by the heart.

Willy Ronis

I take the time to photograph everything, to have fun.  I see it as a particular  emotional experience, something intuitive.

Distinctions:

  • AFIAP (Artiste de la Fédération Internationale d’Art Photographique)
  • Ambassador FPF
  • 1st prize, concours d’auteur FPF (2017)
  • Best fine art photographer FIAP salon International de Mayet (2017)
  • Best Colour Print fine art photographer salon International de Riedisheim (2018)
