The 12th edition of Salon Daguerre allowed us to receive 6,562 photos, from more than 500 photographers residing in 50 different countries. 1,481 photos were accepted by our three judges, Janos Kovacs, Anouk Graux and Jean-Louis Chatelais, for an average acceptance rate of 23%. We warmly thank the judges for their thoroughness and availability.

With 132 photos accepted and 163 points with its 8 best photos, the best club is Shangtuf Image and Art, a Chinese club in Taihzou City, Zhejiang Province. He will receive a prize of 500 euros. The best author with 13 acceptances and a medal, Thomas Lang, lives on the other side of the globe, in the United States. he will be rewarded with the special blue pin of the best FIAP author, a PSA silver medal and a prize of 250 euros. Congratulations to them for these excellent results. Thank you all for your participation and the pleasure we had to discover so many good pictures.

The judgment took place from May 10 to 12, 2019. The three judges rated each photo between 0 and 9. The final score of each digital photo is between 0 and 27 points. Of the 6592 photos judged, 1481 (22.6%) were accepted and 50 photos were awarded (medals, ribbons, judges’ favorites …).

• Open theme – monochrome : 1610 photos received, 371 accepted (23.0%)
• Open theme – color : 1845 photos received, 420 accepted (22.8%)
• Theme « Games of shadow » : 1054 photos received, 241 accepted (22.9%)
• Theme « Street photography » : 1214 photos received, 234 accepted (19.3%)
• Theme « The frame in the frame » : 839 photos received, 215 accepted (25.6%)

All results have been sent by email to clubs and entrants. A selection of accepted photos have been screened on June 6, 2019 in the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre, 28 ter rue Gassendi, 75014 Paris, France.

Salon Daguerre submissions are closed since May 6th, midnight. Thanks to all for your numerous submissions, with 6500+ photos for this 2019 edition. 

Next step is the judgment of the photos by our 3 judges: Jean-Louis Chatelais, Janos Kovacs and Anouk Graux.
It will take place in the premisses of the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre, 28 ter rue Gassendi, 14th district, Paris. 

The judgement will start on May 10th, 14:30 until 18:30. It will go on on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th (9:00-13:00 and 14:30-18:30). The schedule may be adapted to the rythme of the judgement. We are very welcome to come and see the judgement taking place.

Results will be available on May 26th on the site

For this 12th edition, the best author will be awarded a cash prize of 250 € and the best club a prize of 500 €.

Dear Photofriends,

In January, we celebrated the new year, in February the Chinese New Year and the Year of the Pig and since beginning of March the 12^th salon Daguerre edition is open. You can submit your work until May 6th.

To concentrate and sharpen the looks, we make 3 suggestions on the following topics:

• Games of shadows
• Street photography
• The frame in the frame

and 2 classic categories to leave the field free to all your desires: open monochrome and open color.

Three Judges accepted our invitation for this 12th edition, Anouk Graux, who is regularly judge on major national and international exhibitions; Janos Kovacs, member of the International Federation of Photographic Art in Luxembourg, and Jean Louis Châtelais, who won the best author award of the Salon Daguerre in 2017.

They’ll chose the best pictures; their favorites, will award PSA, FIAP and FPF medals and will vote for a cash prize of 500€ for the best club and 250€ for the best author.

Let us share the lights and life scenes of your hemisphere, your country, your home that we do not know yet. We will be delighted to welcome you on our Salon.

12^th SALON DAGUERRE (Paris) 2019

1. The 12th Daguerre exhibition is organized by the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre – 28 ter rue Gassendi 75014 PARIS – France.

2. The competition is open to anyone: non-professional and professional photographers.

In the registration form, a feature will ask the author to confirm that he has read and accepted the entry requirements. If the author has not confirmed this point, the registration will not be taken into account.

Dear Photographers,

The Salon Daguerre 2018 edition was a wonderful one. We went all over the world within a few weeks while staying in Paris. We received almost 8000 pictures.

So, we did it again. The 12th Salon Daguerre is now open for submissions.

This is once again a great opportunity to submit your images to an international jury and to receive  medals and trophies from well-known photographic sponsors (PSA, FIAP, FPF…) and – last but not least – to win a prize (250€ for the best author, 500€ for the best club).

You will be able to compete for up to 5 categories:

• 2 classical themes: “open monochrome” and “open color”
• 3 additional specific themes: “The frame within the frame”, “Games of Shadow”, “Street photography”
