Judgment finished!

Thank you for your massive participation to the 11th Salon Daguerre-digital edition. Nearly 8000 pictures were received. We are happy with the diversity of images submitted.

The judgment took place on May 5 and 6, 2018. You can find the biographies of our judges here.
Individual acceptance and reward notifications will be sent by email to the authors on May 20, 2018.

Acceptances and awards, including medals, trophies, the best individual author (250 €), the best club (500 €), will be announced in the online catalog available starting 16 July 2018 as well as on the website .

ENTRY RULES 11th SALON DAGUERRE (Paris)-2018

1. The 11th Daguerre exhibition is organized by the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bièvre – 28 ter rue Gassendi 75014 PARIS – France.

2. The competition is open to anyone: non-professional and professional photographers.

The Daguerre Team wishes you a happy, joyful and beautiful new year, as well as creativity in your photographic projects.

Thank you for participating in the 10th Daguerre Salon. You have received your results individually; you can now find them on our web site: www.salondaguerre.paris/en/results-2017/

A few words to end the Salon.

The Salon Daguerre closed and now it is time to announce the results.

We received great quality pictures and we thank you all for your participation.

Judgment of the printed images took place on February 11-12th. We received a total of 622 images. Every image has been rated between 1 and 10 by the three judges. The final score for each image is then comprised between 3 and 30.

Judgment of the digital salon took place on February 18-19th. We received a total of 2706 photos. Every photo has been rated between 0 and 9 by the three judges. The final score for each photo is then comprised between 0 and 27.

Among the 3328 evaluated photos, 818 have been accepted (24.6%) and 86 received awards.

Digital/projected images section

• Open theme-monochrome (PSA PID mono): 976 photos received, 228 accepted (23.4%)
• Open theme-color (PSA PID color): 1 110 photos received, 280 accepted (25.2%)
• “In the city” (PSA PID mono or color): 620 photos received, 153 accepted (24.7%)

Print section

• Open theme-monochrome (PSA print mono): 231 photos received, 56 accepted (24.2%)
• Open theme-color (PSA print color): 282 photos received, 72 accepted (25.5%)
• “Travel” (PSA): 109 photos received, 29 accepted (26.6%)

Results have been sent to participants by email on Feb 26, 2017. The official catalogue will be available on this page, starting April 17, 2017.

The 6 Jury members of Salon Daguerre 2017 introduce themselves. Frances dal Chele (USA), Pierre Pedelmas (France) and Shinya Susumu  (Japan) will judge the Print Salon and Anouk Graux (France), Claudine Lainé (France) and Bénédicte Thomas (Belgium) will judge the Digital Salon. 

Thanks again to all for making this first edition of the 9th Salon Daguerre such a success. Judgement took place on next November 7th and 8th in Paris. Among the 4810 photos that have been judged during 18 hours, 912 (19.0%) have been accepted and 52 have been awarded.

The Daguerre Salon is back and we will celebrate with you the 10th edition!

This international photo exhibition is organized by one of the most important photo clubs of France, the Photoclub Paris Val-de-Bievre and will be held in Paris in the 14th district.
The 10th edition will take place in February and March 2017, as an introduction to a new season of photography of the 14th district and the “Mois de la Photo” du “Grand Paris”.

Art 1 – 10th Daguerre exhibition organized by the Photoclub Paris Val de Bièvres – 28 ter rue Gassendi 75014 PARIS – France.

Art 2- The competition is open to anyone: non-professional and professional photographers.

However, an entry may be rejected when the sponsoring organization or its agent, in its reasonable discretion, believes the entry does not conform to the exhibition rules and conditions.

Entries are limited to not more than 4 images per section.

Images entered in one section cannot be entered in any of the other sections. The same image cannot be submitted in color version and in the monochrome version. The same image cannot be submitted at the same time for the print contest and for the digital contest.
